Crave Cookies

Fresh-baked deep dish cookies are the signature draw at this Nelson Road bakery, where Crave Cookies has built its identity around a specialized baking process that sets it apart from conventional cookie shops. Located on Nelson Road in the southwest Lake Charles corridor near the Prien Lake area, the shop uses custom pans engineered to give each cookie vertical structure — a design that makes it possible to fill cookies from the inside out rather than simply topping flat dough with frosting. The result is cookies built around internal fillings like caramel cores, cheesecake centers, molten ganache, and other stuffed combinations that would be structurally impossible in a standard bake.

The menu rotates weekly through what the brand calls "The Drop" — a lineup of six flavors available for seven days before being retired. Past and current offerings have included Horchata Churro with horchata cream filling and cinnamon sugar, Cocoa De Leche, Biscoff S'More, and the flagship Crave Chocolate Chip made with Ghirardelli milk chocolate chips. Across more than 190 distinct flavors developed over time, each recipe is designed specifically around what the specialized pan format makes possible. Same-day delivery is available, and catering orders are also an option for events and larger gatherings in the Lake Charles area.
