About DPR GALLERY

Occupying a newly renovated space in downtown Lake Charles on West Pujo Street, DPR Gallery brings contemporary fine art exhibitions to Southwest Louisiana through a curatorial program rooted in dialogue, material exploration, and cultural exchange. The gallery launched with Rebirth, an immersive exhibition by internationally celebrated artist Peregrine Honig — marking both her Lake Charles debut and the inaugural show in the renovated space. Honig's work, known for its evocative engagement with identity, femininity, and cultural memory, set the tone for a gallery committed to presenting ambitious, thought-provoking work.

Beyond solo exhibitions, DPR Gallery has developed a collaborative relationship with Milieu Art Platform, a curatorial partnership focused on expanding discourse around contemporary material practices. Their joint project Object/Object brought together artists whose work interrogates the boundaries between function, form, and meaning — positioning the gallery as a venue where conceptual depth and physical craft intersect. Milieu's guiding philosophy centers on establishing Southwest Louisiana as a living cultural environment where art, ideas, and people converge, and the partnership reflects that vision directly.

The gallery also offers art classes and framing services, extending its reach beyond exhibition programming to serve artists and collectors at various points of engagement. For those interested in contemporary art in the Lake Charles area, the West Pujo Street location represents a distinct and intentional addition to the region's cultural landscape.
